DUTIES
Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks is looking for someone who would enjoy assisting State Parks staff with the operation of the campground and day use areas at one of our beautiful State Parks. Service Aide duties include fee collection and registrations for campers and day users, providing park information and explaining rules and regulations to visitors in person and via phone, use of a computer for daily financial accounting, using a two-way radio, and reporting emergencies.

SHIFT
The work schedule is either an 8-hour shift or a 10-hour shift depending on the park location that you are assigned to. Both full and part-time shifts are available. Must be available to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays depending on operational needs.

SALARY
$10.60 per hour, paid vacation, and sick leave earned based on hours worked.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must purchase and wear the approved uniform and adhere to park grooming standards. Jackets provided. Knowledge of California's natural and cultural history is desirable.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for SEASONAL/TEMPORARY positions who have worked for State Parks in a seasonal position must be separated from State Park employment for at least 6 pay periods before they are eligible for Friends seasonal employment. Seasonal employees may not work any hours for State Parks and Friends at the same time unless a Permanent Intermittent exception has been granted.
