PopUp Picnic in the Park

FreeEnjoy a relaxing lunch outdoors at Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park and take in the view of downtown Santa Cruz on Thursdays this summer. PopUp Picnics in the Park will be held Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., through Aug. 17. Visitors also are welcome to bring a sack lunch. A portion of food sales at each Popup Picnic will benefit Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park.
The Mission is open daily Monday and Thursday to Sunday. Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted.

Chef Mendoza will be serving enchiladas and molotes. We all like a good chicken or vegetarian enchilada with a creamy red sauce and all the fixings (sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, crumbled cheese) and what is a molote? A lightly fried potato patty with a lining of chorizo in the middle just like a Twinkie! Also, available as a vegetarian option. It is then covered in a traditional Oaxacan mole! Agua Frescas will also be served.
