Join California State Parks, Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks, Monterey Bay Living Shoreline Program, and Groundswell Coastal Ecology for a community planting day at Rio del Mar State Beach. Volunteers will help plant native dune species to support the Rio del Mar Living Shoreline Pilot Project. These plants play a vital role in stabilizing sand, preserving dunes, and attracting native pollinators that benefit the local ecosystem.
