Evening Campfire Programs
Join us in our historic campfire center for an evening of song and story. Serenade the glittering stars and learn about redwood ecology, creatures of the forest or stories of the park while relaxing in the shadows of the towering trees. Fire lighting and marshmallows (we provide the sticks and marshmallows!) at 7 p.m.; program begins at 7:30 p.m.. Wheelchair, stroller accessible. Good dogs welcome!

Thursdays is a special guest campfire, Nature’s Supermarket, where you can learn how the native Ohlone peoples made dinner 500 years ago. Wheelchair, stroller accessible. Good dogs welcome!
Talent Show Campfire
Celebrate Independence Day with a campfire, sing-a-long and talent show! If you have a skit, poem, song or a talent you’d like to share, sign up at headquarters in advance. All presentations should be appropriate for all ages. Acts should be only 3-5 minutes in length. Participants need to arrive promptly at 7 p.m. at the historic campfire center. Fire lighting and marshmallows (we provide the sticks and marshmallows!) at 7 p.m.; program begins at 7:30 p.m. Wheelchair, stroller accessible. Good dogs welcome!
Evening Campfire Program
Join us around the campfire for an hour of activities about the natural and cultural history of the park. We will have marshmallow roasting, songs, trivia, and a slideshow. Meet at the Campfire Center. Dogs on 6-foot leash are welcome. The event is free; parking is $10 and supports the park.
Old Fashioned Family Campfire
Bring your picnic dinner, lawn chairs, and a tortilla topping to share.. Make a fresh tortilla on the comal as we enjoy live music. Then we’ll gather around the campfire for songs, skits and stories. What a great way to relax into summer with the best views of Santa Cruz! This program will be held one Friday a month in the summer: June 24, July 22 and Aug. 19.

Old Fashioned Family Campfire
Bring your picnic dinner and lawn chairs. Make a fresh tortilla on the comal as we enjoy live music by Mosaic World Music from 5:30 to 6:45. Then we’ll gather around the campfire for songs, skits and stories. What a great way to relax into summer with the best views of Santa Cruz! Event is free.

Hear local lore about New Brighton State Beach and learn about the Monterey Bay with lots of singing, stories, games, and prizes for all ages. Meet at the group picnic area next to the ramada.
