Dool Trail to Middle Ridge Fire Road to Ocean View Summit

Parking: Main day-use parking lot – Vehicle day-use fee is $10 or $8 with reservation. Reservations highly recommended.

What to expect: Join docent and plant enthusiast, Kathy Willott, for a first day hike up to OceanView Summit and learn about native plants and how they recover after fire along the way. This hike will be a little over four miles in length with a steady climb up to the summit. Meet at the temporary visitor center next to the main day-use parking lot.
Length of hike: 4.2 miles, 3.5 hours

Ages: All ages welcome

Preparation: Dress in layers and bring plenty of water, a snack, and optional binoculars.

Special instructions: No pets. High winds or winter storm events will cancel. Check the Big Basin webpage for updates on park closures.
