Due to upcoming weather and state park closures, this event is now canceled.
As we celebrate women’s history and their contributions in the month of March, come to the Castro Adobe State Historic Park for our monthly open house and learn all about the women of the rancho in the 1800s and their various roles. Enjoy stories about Rita Castro and her role within the Castro Family as owner Rancho San Andres. See the cocina, the very space where indigenous women prepared meals while they looked after their children. And enjoy the smell and taste of one of Alta California’s food favorites: tortillas!
