Life on Rancho San Andres: Castro Adobe Open House

April showers! Rain, rain, don’t go away! The importance of water on the rancho was prevalent. Land granted to prominent Californios like the Castros always had water sources, including springs, creeks, and rivers to ensure life on the rancho thrived. Water provided sustenance for the people who lived on the rancho as they were dependent on the crops they grew and the animals they raised for their survival. Come learn about life on the rancho and how reliant early Californians were on the land called rancho San Andres.
